Bryce Groenwold began his professional accounting career in 1996 with the national firm of KPMG in their Vernon, BC office.  In 1998 he moved to Edmonton, AB to join PwC as a senior associate.  During his tenure at KPMG and PwC, he worked with both larger businesses in the assurance department as well as  smaller local entrepreneurs.  Although Bryce enjoyed the various challenges of working with larger companies, he realized that working with owner-managed businesses was what truly appealed to him.  In 2000 Bryce joined a local Edmonton firm as a manager where he could focus on owner-managed businesses.  From Edmonton, Bryce moved to Abbotsford, BC in 2001 to work with his father, a partner in a local Chartered Accountancy firm, where he could continue to focus on serving entrepreneurs.  As the firm grew, it merged with the regional firm of Meyers Norris Penny.  To be closer to his wife’s family, the Groenwolds relocated to Saskatoon in 2004 and Bryce transferred to the Saskatoon office of Meyers Norris Penny as a senior manager.  In 2006, Bryce ventured out of public practice accounting to work as a controller for a group of companies.  Although he enjoyed the experience of working in industry, Bryce was drawn back to public practice accounting and began an accounting practice of his own in 2007.  In 2011, Bryce merged his practice with Salamon and Ratzlaff Chartered Accountants to form Salamon Ratzlaff Groenwold Chartered Accountants, which then became SRG Chartered Professional Accountants in 2015.
